I have a flaky itchy scalp. I have used crazy chemical shampoos from the pharmacy and crazy expensive natural shampoos from fancy health stores. Nothing really worked for long, until, 2 or 3 months ago, I got a sample of Giovanni tea tree oil shampoo. I tried it and fell in love with it's simplicity of scents and consistency. Plus, peppermint felt amazing. No flakiness or itchiness noted. I bought a bottle and now, after it's just finished, I bought another one. This inexpensive, zero sulfates shampoo does the best job on my hair.

We've been using this shampoo along with the conditioner for over a year. It was the best we had ever tried! Unfortunately, the last two times we've ordered it from amazon (and the last time we bought it from a local store) the shampoo has been a yellow color (which, if you have bought this in the past, you know should be much closer to a clear color), very watery, smelly, and no longer even cleans the hair. I use it and my hair ends up dull, dark, and dirty.

I have no idea what happened. I've emailed Giovanni Cosmetics to ask them if they changed the ingredients, but have yet to hear back from them.

In any case, how disappointing! :(

I bought this and the conditioner. Combined it saved me almost 50% if I would have purchased the bottles at the store. Cleanses the hair and helps with oil control without drying out the hair or scalp.
